Welcome to Question of the Day! These posts help you get comfortable integrating different technologies with Pinoccio – and easily find what you need in our Support docs.
While we've been working on a Bluetooth Low Energy backpack, we're also focusing on a number of other exciting challenges. However, Dylan has already gotten a Scout to connect to an iPhone using another method:
For now, we recommend that you use this BLE module from Adafruit.
And you can use this sketch to get it working with Pinoccio.
As you can tell by its location on GitHub, this sketch is a part of the Pinoccio library for Arduino, so if you have that library already installed, you can also find it from inside the Arduino application: File > Sketchbook > Libraries > library-pinoccio > Bluetooth.
That should do it! If you have any questions, just let us know (via firstname.lastname@example.org).
This information is now available in our Integrating Hardware docs.
