Welcome to Good Questions! These posts help you get comfortable integrating different technologies with Pinoccio, and easily find what you need in our documentation.
We love open-source hardware, and Pinoccio is proud to add our work to the list. Truth is, there is no hood for anything to be "under"!
Want to build your own Pinoccio Scouts? You can! Today! Here are all the files and templates you need. You want Eagle files? You got 'em. Data sheets? Done.
[That said, it bears mentioning that we've brought the cost down as far as we can with quality manufacturing and components. While you probably won't get a cheaper Scout, you could certainly design a custom one that fits your project's specifications.]
Of course, that's not all. You can make your own backpacks—like François' Capacitive Touch Backpack—using Fritzing or 123D Circuits. Design your own enclosures—as Will did for his water meter project—around our 3D files or by modifying my hanging enclosure.
It's all there for you to dig through... like a big pile of glittering, open-source hardware gems. Have fun!
